Samsung unveils its new flagship – Samsung Galaxy S6

Samsung has revealed their new and latest smartphone flagship, Samsung Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 yesterday in Barcelona, Spain. This time the focus is more on the design compared to all other models of Samsung. The Galaxy S6 has a complete glass body both on the back as well as the front. The phone also prettifies a metallic frame around it. The Samsung S6 weighs around 138 grams and is 6.8 mm thin.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Sports a 5.1 Quad HD Super AMOLED with dual edge displays. The smartphone is guarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Sports a 3GB RAM and it is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7 Octa-core processor, which contains a Quad core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz and 1.5 GHz respectively.

“With the all new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung is offering what’s next in mobility, along with a new standard to drive the global mobile agenda,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung.

The device runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes with a 16MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Sports uses the new LPDDR4 memory system and UFS 2.0 flash memory and 14 nanometer mobile processor with a 64-bit platform. Samsung Galaxy S6 also comes with a new Quick Launch feature give user’s direct access to the camera from any screen in approximate 0.7 seconds by double clicking the home key button, says the company.

The Galaxy S6 has a 2,550mAh battery and it also supports wireless charging and it also claims to possess a fast wired charging, which means the phone will get charged at lesser time as compared to other phone which means the phone can be used for 4 hours in just 10 minutes of charging. The Galaxy S6 will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants.
