In a breezy update on their Lumia Conversations blog, Microsoft’s Lumia Conversations Team gave us a portent of things to come in their upcoming press conference on MWC 2015 event to be held in Barcelona.
The great lord of computing technology shall kick off their run at the much awaited Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, Spain this year with a Microsoft press conference on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 8:30 AM (GMT +1) which roughly works out to roughly 1PM Indian Standard Time. They have set up shop in Hall 3 of the Fira Gran Via. For those who won’t be in Barcelona, the press conference will be webcast live on the Lumia Conversations blog.
Going to shoulder to shoulder with the other industry bigwigs – HTC, Samsung and Apple – Microsoft is expected to launch a spectacular range of Windows smartphones at the trade event in the first week of March. Unconfirmed reports from stats compiled by AdDuplex put forth four models of Windows powered phones for customers to look forward to from the Microsoft dream factory. The first is the Microsoft powered, Nokia model RM 1031 with its 4 inch display and 480×800 pixel touchscreen.
AdDuplex tips it to be an entry-level gadget, closely associated with the Microsoft’s short-lived Nokia XL Android phone. Next on the list is the Microsoft/Nokia RM 1062 with 5 variants – 1063 through 1067. These Windows phones come equipped with a 5.7 inch display, and a wider 720×1280 touchscreen.
The company could also launch the Microsoft/Nokia RM 1072, also coming soon in five variants – 1073 through 1077, with a more modest 5 inch display but similar 720×1280 touchscreen as the previous 1062 version. Finally, we could see Microsoft roll out the Microsoft RM 1109, 1113 and the Microsoft/Nokia RM 1099. While the latter comes with few projected details, but for its 4 inch display and 480×800 pixel touchscreen, the former is being termed a variant of RM 1072 with its 5 inch display and 780×1280 pixel touchscreen.
