Sony Mobile listed out Xperia Smartphones (Android 5.0) to get the latest Marshmallow firmware in the coming days. We already knew that, those devices are in Android 5.0 operating system. Luckily, the company is going to skip minor update and rolling out Marshmallow. As you know, Android 5.1.1 carries bugs fixes and improvement in battery life. In contrast, Sony’s Xperia specs seem to be very interesting and can able to afford Marshmallow firmware.
According to the press release, the devices lined up for Marshmallow firmware are as follow:
Xperia M4 Aqua: the devices got Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615, that boost 2 GB RAM.
Xperia C4 & Xperia C5 Ultra: both the devices powered by a Mediatek MT6752 chipset with 2 GB RAM.
Xperia Z4 tablet & Xperia Z3+: Sony includes Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 that boost 3 GB RAM in both the devices.
It doesn’t matter, even if we skip Android 5.1.1 update and jump to Marshmallow. All the devices have gotten highly improved processors, that can run Android 6.0 smoothly. There is no news about the release date, but we can expect Marshmallow firmware to these devices in a couple of weeks. Talking about the marshmallow, it brings a major change to all Smartphones and tablet. Basically, there are 5 killer features in the marshmallow that you really don’t want to miss.
