Android marshmallow update for HTC One (M8, M9, E9), Butterfly 3, Desire (826, 820, 816) and 7 other devices coming soon

HTC USA recently announced list of smartphones to get an Android marshmallow update in the first session. The count starts from low order to high end flagships, HTC decided to roll out a new firmware update before the end of this year. The company officially exposed a list of Smartphones, in which first 12 devices will get the latest firmware update. It includes HTC One M9, M9+, One E9, E9+, One ME, One M8, Butterfly 3, One E8 Eye, E8, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816. Later on, we can also expect more devices in the next session.

Talking about the Marshmallow, this was the latest operating system from Google. Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are the first device to release with the marshmallow operating system. When Google announced Android ‘M’ as their next OS moniker, we were totally confused about letter ‘M’ stand for? Later on, it confirmed Android 6.0 will be called as marshmallow from Android VP engineer tweets. There was some speculation on upcoming features and utilities in latest operating system. It was cleared, Google’s marshmallow will replace voice search with Tap on, DirectShare, Android Pay, 64-bit ARMv8 architecture etc.

Hopefully, we can also expect a marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Note 4, S6 edge+, Tab S in the future. On the other end, LG high end Smartphone such as LG G4, LG G3, G2 all set to get marshmallow firmware. Some rumor also suggests, marshmallow firmware update will soon go live to brand such as Huawei, OnePlus, Motorola and Xiaomi next year.
