After a recent success of the Xperia Z5 Smartphone, the Sony brand moving to unlock Lollipop update to their previously released Z-series. It is very good to say that, old Smartphone is getting Android secure version OS update. Now-a-days, most of the Android based devices are powered by Lollipop OS because of its good user interface. On the other hand, there is news about, Google’s Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS. Consumers are so excited about the latest version. I hope Google is working on Android 6.0 to make a stable version for Smartphones and tablets. Currently, Sony unveiled a firmware update to Xperia ZR, Z, ZL and tablet Z devices.
Sony pushes an update lollipop firmware update for those model number devices which are listed. It is said that, Xperia Z (model number: C6602, C6603) and Xperia ZL (model number: C6503, C6506) followed by Xperia ZR (model number: C5503) respectively. On the other hand, the company listed some tablet model number to receive Lollipop update. Xperia Z tablet model number includes SGP321, SGP311 and SGP312. Unluckily, this update doesn’t cover all requirements. The company failed to include stagefright along with Android Lollipop firmware. We can expect one more official update in the future.
Just access about phone under setting and tap on check for updates. If the device has official update, you get the notification saying that a new firmware update available. Soon after you receive update notifications, proceed to download and installation firmware. It takes 15-20 minutes to complete the installation process. Once done! Now your device starts to run on latest version in the operating system. Similarly, once you complete all procedure in Xperia device.
