Samsung S6 launched with Camera2 API; OnePlus One to get Android Lollipop

Android has been for some time now, the most preferred mobile operating system and with the launch of Android L, the quality of service has changed exceptionally. It can be easily stated that Android 5.0 Lollipop has brought in a lot of added features. The major changes can be seen along the user interface where in the Google has added a new and fresh look, allowing the users to go through the beauty of the development.

With the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop, there have been quite a few additions made to the operating system. The changes have been implemented in literally all the spheres lending Android 5.0 L, an exquisite look and interface. But there lies a twist, as the users will not be able to use the fully upgraded services unless the firmware vendors of the smartphone includes the upgraded API’s in their system. Talking of one such example, after upgrading to Lollipop, you will not be able to enjoy the added features of the Camera unless there is Camera2 API support.

According to the reports, OnePlus One is probably one of the first devices, which is expected to get the Camera2 API soon. This is in turn good news for the users as they will be getting the Camera2 API a few weeks before the device gets its official upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

On the other hand, the MWC 2015 saw the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The smartphones are undoubtedly one of the best smartphones to be launched during the MWC 2015 with excellent specifications. Samsung has included the Camera2 API into the firmware, allowing  tons of new available features for the users.

To be precise, the Camera2 API allows the developers full access to the hardware elements of the camera allowing them to develop and expand. The experts are expecting a lot more in this regard in the future.
