Sony to release Android tablet with release date

Sony’s CEO has announced that the company will be releasing an Android Honeycomb powered tablet by the end of this summer.

While little is known about this tablet, there have been a few rumours flying around, the first suggesting that it will be called the S1 and will have a somewhat strange design, with a lip resembling a rolled up newspaper. We are unsure of the design, as it does sound a little odd.

Other rumours suggest that the Sony tablet will feature a 9.7 inch touchscreen and a Tegra processor. Also on the list is PlayStation certified gaming and Bravia screen technology.

We will keep you updated on the Sony tablet when more information is released, so keep checking back.
