The ease with which we can click a photo or sync it to smartphones, it doesn’t take much effort to populate the phone’s gallery with all sorts of unwanted photographs. Over the time the problem only compounds.

So users are pretty much interested in apps that could give them an easy way of organizing their digital life, and this was visible when Duplicate Photos Fixer for Mac became the top app on Mac App Store.

I used Duplicate Photos Fixer on my Mac and have got thoroughly impressed with the app’s precision of detecting similar and duplicate photographs. Only recently I installed the android version of Duplicate Photos Fixer. In this review, we will find out whether the android version is as good as the one for Mac.

 

What Duplicate Photos Fixer Does?

This app scans your phone gallery for duplicate and similar looking images. After the scan, all the found photos are classified in groups where each group holds all similar or duplicate copies of an image. You can auto mark all copies and delete duplicate photos in android phone.

User Interface

The user interface is as simple as it gets. The app has a nice and clean design minus all bells-and-whistles. The home screen gives three options for scan i.e. camera images (to scan only those images that are clicked from your smartphone’s camera), full scan (to scan all images) and folder (scan any folder).

Deleting Duplicates

After you select a mode of scan, the scan engine find duplicate photos in the user-selected location. Once the scan the complete, the duplicates are arranged in groups.

The thumbnails are big enough to understand the content of the photos; however, you can preview any of the photos in the full-screen.

By tapping ones on the auto mark option you can select all photos for deletion except their original copy. One more tap on the delete icon resting on the bottom of the screen and you’re done.

Here also the app was pretty accurate, and I didn’t find any photos in the scan results that I wanted to keep saved in my gallery.

Conclusion

You cannot go wrong installing Duplicate Photos Fixer in your android smartphone. It works without any stutters, dives deep into your gallery to find similar and duplicate photos, and gives pretty fast and accurate results.

Unlike for iOS or Mac, the android version of the app is free. There are no ads so all you get is a non-intrusive performance from a productive tool. Recommended! Especially for photography lovers.
