Apple’s New Development Plot Is Even Larger than Spaceship Sites

According to the recent reports, even a Spaceship does not provide sufficient room for the Company – Apple. The Silicon Valley, California Business Journal reported that the iPhone making company is about to secure a development agreement.

This agreement is for land (plot) located in San Jose. According to the report, the plot can hold up a campus of almost 4.15 million sq. feet. Apple has been recently working on finalizing this current developmental deal.

At present, the company’s second campus, which is designed like a spaceship in the form of ring holds nearly 2.8 million sq. feet of land area. This area is 230 percent larger than the Apple’s present headquarter at an infinite loop. Basically, this latest development agreement in San Jose might be extremely massive. Not much information has yet been revealed by the company at the moment.

According the report by the Silicon Valley Journal, the agreement is the latest update in the sale strings along with the leases that are made by Company in San Jose (north) and the efforts made toward the development agreement are considerable, because it displays that the company is working on it quickly – and not leisurely in order to develop and establish the deal. However, it is not a done agreement yet.

A development agreement makes not warranties that the entire space shall be used for construction work because it not a real project. Since, the company hasn’t yet revealed about its objective with this particular site so it can’t be said that for what purpose Apple is actually eyeing the plot. The company has not even submitted its formal proposal of development yet.

So, for now it is completely unclear that for what purpose the company is making such a massive purchase of land. Because of the development agreement, we can think of limited types of functions or activities for which the company can use its land such as, industrial development which include official workplace as well, Research & development, unit for manufacturing & support and other related uses.

The business journal report suggests that manufacturing and research might be the reason behind such a massive purchase. Other guesses include the Apple’s electric car manufacturing unit which is predicted to be released by 2019.

However, with a massive plot of land owned by one of premium manufacturing company like Apple, it can really be used for anything!
