Facebook turned into all in one service on the internet. It’s a vast area to spend most of the time with friends. This Christmas Rush, Facebook (FB) decided to tap into an online shopping platform. We are not talking about the Shopping ads that displayed middle of the post. The Giant social network bringing a new shopping features, in which users can shop products without leaving the FB application or redirecting to another website.
As you know, There are lots of eCommerce website already topped in the market. Never mind! Facebook started their ad testing, which can enable users to shop directly from Facebook rather than moving to the official page. At present, the new ad features will be available for the mobile platform because only 2% of all retail sales are via mobile platforms.
Emma Rodgers (Facebook head of product marketing of eCommerce) says, “We’re looking to give people an easier way to find products that will be interesting to them on mobile, make shopping easier and help businesses drive sales,”
When user click on the ads, the new features actually expand the product to show more products and buy now button will placed on the bottom. In upcoming updates, we can also expect price comparison and discount coupon in the shopping features.
Catherine Boyle (analyst at eMarketer) says, “From Facebook’s perspective, they’re addressing a pain point for retailers. They will attract serious ad dollars with this offering”.
The top Shopping website like Amazon and Walmart always advertise latest product on Facebook. We don’t need to waste the time on the shopping website anymore, Facebook made it simple and easy with new ad features.
